Moths at Acorn Lodge

Moths at Acorn Lodge

Magpie Moth

In July Robin, Di and daughter Juliet came to stay at Acorn Lodge for two weeks. During their holiday with us they did a study of Moths in the area. Each night Robin would set up a light box and then in the morning would analyze what he had collected. After identifying the moths they were let loose.

During their stay they identified many different species. here are just two of the moths, the one just looks like a twig and is call a Buff tip and the other is very colorful and is a magpie moth.
