Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway
One of our guests visited the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway for their vintage weekend in June. The line runs for 8 miles of lovely Border country, and the coaches have outside balconies so that you can stand and take in the sights and sounds of the countryside on a nice day as the train chugs slowly along. There are more vintage weekends in July and August, but “normal” trains run most days from July to the end of September – why not make this trip part of your stay with us? The Welshpool terminus is only just over an hour’s drive from the Lodge.
