As members of Shropshire Tourism we were invited to a tour of Stokesay Castle although we have been many times it has been updated by English Heritage so we decided to accept. We were unable to get to the actual tour but went around with an audio guide ourselves and at our own pace. I was unable to get up some of the stairs but listened just the same and Clive was able to relay back to me what he had seen, but I did manage one set of stairs to a panelled room which they have now updated with a beautiful fireplace and a couple of benches and table. The tour ended with a cream tea which was very acceptable.
(Not actually a Castle but a 13th century fortified Medieval Manor House but well worth a visit)
