Spring Is In The Air At Acorn Lodge

The daffodils and primroses are really lovely here now and A guest from last August gave us a lovely bowel of daffs which have now come out a long wait but really worth the wait!

Our guests have been out exploring as well as enjoying the comfort of the cabin.

Here is what a recent guest had to say.......

"We spent last week in the lodge and were full of good intentions to get out and do some long walks. Our first outing was to Mortimer forest on the far side of Ludlow. It is a beautiful spot for a gentle stroll or in our case (due to a wrong turn!) a longer ramble. However, in follow a random path, we came across two deer who being quite surprised to see us pranced off into the undergrowth! We finally found the trail back to the car park and headed back to the lodge. The view over Ludlow from that road is stunning, even in misty weather, and we stopped with our flask and sandwiches to take in the vista.

Unfortunately or fortunately, depending on how you look at it, that turned out to be the extent of our exercise regime and we spent the rest of the week chilling out! By Thursday the cushions for the swinging seat were firmly in place! After the excitement of the partial eclipse on Friday morning, of which we had an amazing view, courtesy of some exceptionally clear skies and Clive''s handy welding mask, we took root on the decking once again for our last afternoon! It''s a hard life!!

Thank you Dorothy and Clive for another super week!"
