What a Difference a SPECIAL DAY MAKES

What a difference a

SPECIAL DAY MAKES.

Whitton Church Daffodils

Mothering Sunday is always the 3rd Sunday in Lent in the UK, centuries back servants were allowed home to see their Mothers as they nearly always lived far from home and were not able to see them except on special days like this.

Mother Is………

Mother is such a simple word
But it’s meaning is so strong,
She’s the heart of the family
Just where the love belongs,
Our tower of strength
Way beyond compare,
With love and support
In abundance to share.

St.Mary’s Church, Whitton held a lovely service with our Grandchildren taking part. Reading a prayer, taking the collection and then gave posies to all the mothers in the congregation. After Simnel cake and drinks were given. St. Mary’s Church, Whitton is a must to see, As you enter St Mary’s and look towards
the Chancel, Whitton’s treasured Burne-Jones / William Morris window glows in the morning sun.
