What a Difference YOUR OWN FRUIT MAKES

What a Difference

YOUR OWN FRUIT MAKES

This month we have been fortunate to have the pleasure of picking and eating the fruit from our garden. The apricots were delicious so we ate them all and did not make jam this year, unfortunately the birds ate all the cherries.

Then the greengages we eat for breakfast cooked on our cereals. Now the victoria plums branches reaching down to the floor there are so many. In between we have had rhubarb, strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants and now in the hedges of the field we have blackberries. Jam has been made of some of the fruit and the victoria plums will be bottled for eating next year. Appleas are being picked, this will go on till the middle of November and some will be stored to eat in 2018.

Forgot the tomatoes out of the greenhouse are really delicious.

We like to share with our guests some of these delights.

Just taken this photo of a puff ball in the field so this is a good sign of mushrooms to begin popping their heads.
